At The Sound Journal, we aim to give users the opportunity to revisit historical events through our exclusive sample packs. Our historically sourced samples of ambiance and natural sound are combined with curated musical elements. In providing producers and educators with unique resources for learning-based music production, The Sound Journal also strives toward increased diversity, sound and cultural value in the industry. We credit the histories, people, and places of the sounds we use and produce, as they are the root of the art we hope to inspire.

The Sound Journal distributes exclusive sample packs for music producers, podcasters, and filmmakers. We aim to encourage content creators to produce media based around the themes of our sample packs. The Sound Journal collects sound from a series of music preservation workshops and historical sites in various parts of the world, revealing the cultural and historical context people might expect from these places. Our sounds are global, historical, and culturally valuable.
